MusicCast makes it easy to bring music to every room in your home wirelessly with playback controlled by a simple app. Start with a MusicCast capable AV receiver in your main entertainment room for the ultimate home theater experience, then add MusicCast speakers, sound bars or Hi-Fi components in other rooms wirelessly.

Network Sources and Bluetooth

Support for the music streaming services include, Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody and Sirius XM Internet radio. These services allow you to enjoy a wide variety of music content. Furthermore, support for vTuner Internet radio stations enables sampling of Internet radio broadcasts from around the world.

ESS Sabre DAC

The digital-to-analog (D/A) converter—the ES9010K2M from ESS Technology, Inc.—offers high-precision processing of 32-bit audio and the ability to handle large amounts of audio data (PCM 384 kHz, DSD 5.6 MHz). Since the built-in D/A converter generates its own master clock, an original jitter-elimination function is also included. This allows for the D/A conversion to experience an extremely low impact of clock jitter.

USB-DAC Function

The NX-N500 has a high performance USB DAC that supports PCM 384 kHz / 32-bit and DSD 5.6 MHz native resolutions. It is compatible with asynchronous transmission and produces low-jitter by using its own master clock versus using the clock in the PC. It also makes use of an ASIO driver that achieves lower latency and higher throughput.
 

Bi-Amp

The power amplifier is critical to powered speakers. The NX-N500 utilizes a discrete bi-amplification system featuring a 45 watt amplifier to the woofer and 25 watt amplifier to the tweeter. These analog amplifiers produce strong, expansive sound by directly driving each unit individually while maintaining the feeling of a high signal-to-noise ratio.

5-Inch Woofer

By incorporating a thick waveguide it achieves smooth and accurate high-frequency reproduction. The 5 inch woofer employs the same new advanced PMD (Polymer-injected Mica) diaphragm used in the high-end Soavo speakers from Yamaha.

1-Inch Tweeter

With a 2-way speaker configuration, the NX-N500 utilizes a 1 inch dome tweeter capable of handling 40 kHz high-bandwidth playback in order to reproduce the rich amount of audio information unique to high-resolution sound sources.

Three-Way Mitred-joint

The enclosure employs a thick MDF (medium density fiberboard) with high rigidity to produce uniform acoustic characteristics. It features a three-way mitered-joint traditionally used in high- end Yamaha speakers. This suppresses unwanted resonance and helps ensure that you’ll hear sound with an outstanding sense of realism.
