The BioGS 2.0 Design Story

The BioGS's redesign is much more than a facelift.
We dug deep to reconsider the fundamental facets of our product, including the air purifier's shape and form, user interface, and functionality. We also ruminated on its impact on the environment, which led us towards a more holistic approach, cutting back on light and sound pollution generated by the air purifier to ensure that while it takes pollutants from the environment, it leaves nothing but clean air in return.

Industrial designer Guto Indio da Costa’s concept of "flow" resonates throughout the BioGS 2.0. The curvaceous body of the air purifier reflects its relatively simplistic but comprehensive functionality, and its clean, cool, and straightforward style. By reimagining the air purifier's structure and streamlining its bells and whistles, da Costa has steered the latest generation of Rabbit Air products towards growth and progress, with a new model that’s easy to use, less intrusive, and aesthetically pleasing.

Typical HEPA air purifiers trap allergens and contaminants, which accumulate on the filter and interfere with efficiency. The BioGS HEPA filter traps and reduces common allergens* to support optimum filter efficiency and prolong filter life.

Stage 1 - Pre-filter (washable and permanent):
The Pre-Filter effectively traps and reduces large sized allergens, dust, and particles.


Stage 2 - BioGS HEPA Filter:
The BioGS HEPA filter traps airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size, 99.97% of the time, and reduces common allergens to support optimum filter efficiency and prolong filter life.


Stage 3 - Charcoal-Based Activated Carbon Filter*:
Made of high-grade granular activated carbon, our AC filter is much more effective than typical AC filters, which are coated with a thin layer of activated carbon. Chemicals and common household odors can be effectively reduced.

Stage 4 - Negative Ion Generator:
Produces beneficial negative ions to fortify the air you breathe and freshen your indoor environment.

Smart
All interface lights will disappear when the unit is idle, to reduce light pollution and save energy. The filter life indicator will alert you when it’s time to clean and replace the filters.

Economical
The BioGS HEPA and Charcoal-Based Activated Carbon filters will last up to three years, based on 12 hours daily operation. The Pre-Filter is permanent and washable.

Responsible
A childproof feature pauses air purifier operation when the front panel is removed.

Energy efficient
ENERGY STAR certified units will not run up your energy bill.

Thorough
The BioGS SPA-550A air purifier will filter all of the air in a room up to 550 sq. ft. (or 625 sq. ft. for the SPA-625A) twice in an hour on the highest setting.

Ultra quiet
The cutting edge BLDC motor operates at five different speeds. It’s virtually silent at the lowest speed.
