Originally launched as the “Omni Outdoor Speaker” in 1989, the GS-3 speaker is TIC’s flagship product. It continues our long tradition of manufacturing speakers for outdoor living. It is the most widely used outdoor speaker for landscapers, commercial contractors, and home users. The oversized housing allows a good bases response without the use of sound ports. The reflection cone creates a omni-directional sound source. This allows the landscape to be immersed with music without hotspots. Every aspect of the speaker is designed for exterior use. The color is designed to blend in with your lawn or shrubs. An oversized dome protects the speaker from rain and snow. The speaker cone is made of weather-resistant ASB polypropylene to ensure your speaker lasts through the seasons.

Please note that the GS4's standard installation requires two input channels. While it is possible to connect GS4 to the GS50/TFS50 subwoofer as satellite speakers, we strongly recommend using our standard 8Ω speakers (GS3, GS5, TFS5, TFS6, etc,) for better impedance matching and simpler installation.

Note: As a passive (not active) subwoofer, the GS50 requires an amplifier and does not accept a single LFE (Low Frequency Effect) line as an input. With a built-in passive crossover, the GS50 is designed to accept standard stereo inputs and will automatically separate the different bands of audio frequency. GS50 is compatible with both standard amplifier or subwoofer amplifier, thought the satellite mode will not function properly with a subwoofer amplifier. While it is possible to connect DVC speakers (ie. GS4 and TFS12) to GS50, we strongly recommend using standard 8Ω speakers (ie. GS3, GS5, TFS5, TFS6, etc.) as satellite speakers.
