AutoTest Accurately Identifies Network Problems in 10 Seconds
With a three-second boot-up and a one-button AutoTest that performs a customized set of connectivity tests in ten seconds, the LinkRunner AT enables quick and accurate problem identification to solve network problems fast. The AutoTest includes Power over Ethernet measurement, negotiation of link speed and duplex, discovery of switch port and VLAN information, negotiation of IPv4 address, availability of the gateway and the DNS servers, and the connection to user-defined devices and TCP applications. Save and share AutoTest profiles to standardize the troubleshooting process and create best practices.
Test Twisted Pair Ethernet Links at Gigabit Rates
Troubleshoot copper links with the integrated 10/100/Gig copper RJ45 interface. Test twisted pair cables for length, shorts, opens or split pairs with an optional remote cable identifier, the built-in wiremap port or on non-terminated cables. Digital and analog cable toning and switch port light blinking help locate and identify twisted pair cables. The optional office locator kit allows identification of up to six different RJ45 jacks.
Discover the Nearest Switch and VLAN
Using discovery protocol analysis (LLDP, CDP or EDP) the LinkRunner AT tester identifies the nearest switch and the VLAN IDs. Nearest switch information includes switch name, model, IP address, port/slot, speed/duplex (actual and advertised), signal strength, connection type (MDI or MDI/X), PoE voltage, and a graphical representation of power on pairs.
Document Test Results
Run the LinkRunner Manager application to transfer saved test results from the tester to a Windows PC. Generate customized reports to close trouble tickets, escalate problems and prove acceptable connectivity. Use the management application to create and manage AutoTest profiles and to upgrade tester firmware.

LinkRunner AT tester is available in two models: LRAT-1000 and LRAT-2000. The LinkRunner AT 2000 adds the following exclusive features: a fiber optic SFP interface, the TruePower PoE load test, IPv6 support, 50 results saved on the tester (versus 10) and a Li-ion rechargeable battery. The LinkRunner AT 2000 also features packet reflection facilitating use of the tester as a performance test remote device.
